Labrador CMS is a modern SaaS publishing platform built by journalists, for journalists. We power more than 380 sites across 19 countries — from national broadcasters like TV2 and dailies to niche magazines like Elle and Computerworld. We have exotic customers like Sermitsiaq in Greenland, Albuquerque Journal in the USA and Korean JoongAng Daily in Seoul. And we have local newspapers like Fjell-Ljom in Røros and Askøy24 or Folketidende.dk.

Customer size grow fast and we now onboard a lot of large media groups in parallel.

We are expanding our team in Oslo and looking for an Editorial Onboarding Specialist who speaks the language of the newsroom.

The Role

Are you the journalist or front editor who always ends up helping colleagues with the CMS? Do you see solutions where others see technical blockers?

In this role, you will bridge the gap between editorial needs and technical possibilities. You won't just manage a project plan; you will be the strategic partner who designs how a newsroom works. You will own the delivery from the contract until the site is live and breaking news.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Launch: You have total responsibility for the onboarding project. You lead the process, manage timelines, and ensure a successful "Go Live" for international clients.

  • Editorial Architect: Translate the customer's journalistic ambitions into a technical setup. How should the front page function? How can they optimize their workflow?.

  • Hands-on Configuration: You will set up sections, configure layouts, and adjust the design (in collaboration with designers) to ensure the system plays perfectly with the content.

  • Training & Inspiration: Train editorial teams and show them how to work smarter with Labrador and our built-in AI tools.

  • Customer Communication: Be the primary point of contact for editors and product owners during the implementation phase.

Requirements

  • Editorial Background: Experience from a newsroom (Journalist, Front Editor, Shift Manager, or similar) is highly valued. You understand the pulse of breaking news.

  • Tech-Savvy: You are "the technical one" in your current team. You understand how a digital newspaper is stitched together and are not afraid of new tools. You are fluent in AI

  • Project Mindset: You are structured, autonomous, and solution-oriented. You can handle multiple launches parallel without losing track of the details.

  • Communication: Fluency in both Norwegian and English is required. You must be comfortable leading workshops and training sessions in English.

  • Location: You must be based in Oslo and able to work from our HQ.

Why Join Us?

  • Global Impact: See your work used by thousands of journalists and read by millions of people across Europe, Asia, and the US.

  • Innovation: Join a team that is redefining digital journalism with a heavy focus on AI and automation.

  • Culture: A collaborative and supportive environment. We are ambitious but value work-life balance.

  • Benefits: We sit at MESH in central Oslo. We offer professional development support, paid courses/conferences, a premium pension plan, and covered broadband/mobile.
